About Us
Founded in 2009, Karin Åkesson Design is run by Karin and her husband, David, from their East London studio. The collection brings together joyful ink illustrations and uplifting messages, inspired by their two young children and a love of playful storytelling.
All products are designed by Karin and made and printed in the UK. Many pieces can be personalised with names and special messages, creating thoughtful keepsakes to treasure.
Originally from Gothenburg, Sweden, Karin studied Illustration at Brighton University and completed her MA at the Royal College of Art before launching her own studio. In 2023, her first children’s book, The Rainbow Snail, was published by Boxer Books and Union Square & Co.
